The Volkswagen Amarok pickup truck was produced in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016. Then the car was restyling and updated and has been produced since 2017. The Amarok has 3 trim levels – Trendline, Comfortline and Highline with diesel and gasoline engines. In our material you can read the description of the fuse blocks and relays of the Volkswagen Amarok, their diagrams and photos. We will separately note the cigarette lighter fuse.

Block arrangement

All Volkswagen Amarok models have the following layout: a main unit with fuses and relays in the passenger compartment and a unit on the battery cover. However, depending on the level of electrical equipment, it is possible to place both an additional unit and individual elements, especially for cars manufactured after 2013.

  1. Fuse 1 of the supply fan -S97- and fuse 1 of the ABS control unit
  2. Fuse block C-SC-(72/68 fuses)
  3. Fuse block on the battery cover (SA)
  4. Fuse block on the battery cover (SB)

Blocks in the cabin

Main fuse block

It is located under the driver’s dashboard. To access the fuses, you must release the locking lever. The fuse box can then be lowered.

68-fuse block (models from 2013)

Since July 2013, the Volkswagen Amarok has been equipped with a new, 68-pole SC fuse block (under the front panel on the driver’s side). It differs visually from the old 72-pole block primarily in that it alternates vertical rows of smaller fuses (MINI, 8 pieces per row) with larger fuses (ATO, 9 pieces per row). The old 72-pole block initially had 4 rows of MINI fuses, then 4 rows of ATO fuses, 9 pieces in all rows.

Relay block

It is located on a bracket on the driver’s side under the instrument panel. The relay block bracket is completely hidden by the instrument panel. The SC fuse block is mounted on the same bracket. There may also be an on-board electrical system control unit integrated into the relay/fuse block bracket itself (SC).

Block under the hood

High-power fuses in the form of fuse links (SA) are located under the cover on the battery. It is connected to the positive battery terminal wire. Nearby is the fuse block (SB), protected from water ingress by a special cap.
