Renault Megane 2 generation was produced in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 with hatchback, sedan, station wagon bodies. The sedan was assembled at a plant in Turkey, and the remaining modifications in France. In some countries, Megane 2 station wagons were sold under a different name – Megane Grand Tour. We will show where the fuse boxes and relays are located in the Renault Megane 2 generation and how to get to them. Also, photos of the boxes and diagrams with a description of the purpose of the elements, we will separately note the cigarette lighter fuse.

The execution of the units and the number of elements may differ from those presented and depend on the year of manufacture and the level of equipment. The current diagrams should be applied to the back of the protective cover of the unit.
Blocks under the hood
Under the hood of the 2nd generation Renault Megane there are 3 fuse boxes.
Fuse links on the battery
This block is located on the positive terminal of the battery.

- 30A – Electronic control unit in the cabin
- 350 A – gasoline engine vehicle, generator, 400 A – diesel engine vehicle – Engine compartment switchgear unit
- 30A – Engine compartment junction box
Switching block
Installed in the left part of the engine compartment. Covered with a protective cover.

In one version, by removing the cover you will gain access to the block where it is possible to replace the fuse in another, the block will be located in another case and access to it will be difficult.
How to get to the fuse box under the hood of a Renault Megane 2
First, you need to remove the battery and unscrew the fasteners from its stand to get to the ECU.

Next, unscrew its fastening and move it aside. Remove the air duct near the radiator and lift the ECU holder up.

In the block itself we unlearn the bolt. And now we can move the block out. Don’t forget to disconnect the power connectors.
